Got the honor to attend a Summer Soirée at the new art-based publishing company’s first U.S. flagship store Other Criteria, co-founded by rock star contemporary artist, entrepreneur, and art collector Damien Hirst
Main floor level host their retail operation, while the lower level will be utilize for exhibitions, screenings and art related events.
Several of Hirst’s famous pieces are on display in print version, including The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living, For the Love of God and Beautiful Inside My Head Forever. Other contemporary artist’s works were also on display, including one in particular that caught my attention. Contemporary artist Eduardo Sarabia’s hand painted vases inspired by his Mexican heritage and played on the clichés affiliated with drug smuggling, illegal trade and machismo.
