Thank you to Donald J Pliner for sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
I couldn’t think of a better way of saying au revoir to summer 2017 than with one more stroll around Katharina Grosse’s “Colors of the Rockaway”. A public art installation presented by MoMA PS1 on the Fort Tilden Historic District; a former U.S. Army installation in the coastal area of Queens, NY. I took my last summer stroll wearing my FAIRY sandals, one of my favorite styles from the Donald J Pliner’s # ArtOfFun spring/summer 2017 collection. Continue Reading…
Ah, September! My birth month is always one of the busiest and most stressful months of the year. After working full-time in Fashion marketing and sales for several years, I took the leap to continue to the full-time BFA Fashion Design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I decided to return to school to pursue a new degree because my current career at that time in sales and merchandising wasn’t providing me with the creativity I was yearning for. Needless to say, I began the first week of school with assigned projects and an endless amount of work and research. In between all of that I was working backstage during NYFW with no free evenings or Weekends. Hey, this girl loves fashion, but sometimes it takes a toll on me.

Hey Street Art Lovers! Welcome to The Stylish Flaneuse’s Summer Edition. This is the season where we take the wandering bug out to the streets, nature and abroad. I’m starting off the outdoor summer experience in Bushwick, a street art community hub in Brooklyn, NY and one of my favorite locations for Street Art watching. For this adventure, I brought along Perrier Sparkling Natural Mineral Water’s brand new flavors –Strawberry and Watermelon. Perrier’s sugar-free and calorie-free naturally flavored sparkling waters are packed with crisp tasting and invigorating flavors ideal for pairing with your favorite mocktails, cocktails, or alone as a refreshing drink on the go.
Hey everyone! It has been a long time since I posted on this side of the web. The past few weeks have been overwhelming, exciting, and scary, along with many more feelings in between. I’m going through the transition of embarking on a new phase in my life. On June 1st, 2017I became a Free Agent – Goodbye 9-5 life! I’ll take this time to focus on building my professional and creative aesthetic by exploring new concepts, collaborating with like-minded creators, and finally getting a little of spare time for living a well-balanced life. I am excited for these upcoming months. I feel a wave of creativity, inspiration and growth heading my way. I invite you to join me on this journey and hope you’ll feel inspire to pursuit your own aspirations and those plans you always put off for the “future”, because the future is now!
The month of May is known as a transitional month where nature morphs into a colorful festival of flowers and greenery.
Soon I’ll be finished with the school semester which means I’ll have more time for self-care routines. The extra time in my schedule will allow me to take steps to regenerate as nature does during the “birthing season” of spring. I’ve incorporated a much-needed self-care routine as part of my sabbatical rituals where I dedicate time to do things to help replenish my mind, body, and soul. A normal sabbatical day can include meditation, deep hair conditioning with natural oils, yoga, a clean and fresh diet with fruits, veggies, lots of water and herbal teas. As a way to make my self-care routine more enjoyable I made the switch from my paddle wood brush to Vanity Planet’s Spin for Perfect Skin brush, a much easier alternative for exfoliating and bringing my skin back to the glowing healthy side of the spectrum.
