Christmas came early this year, on November 6th to be exact. The long-awaited arrival of the Alexander Wang x HM collection landed on a rainy gloomy day. Kind of ironic because I felt the color of the sky complemented the collection’s color palette so perfectly. I arrived at the H&M in Times Square around 9:30 am. To my surprise, there wasn’t a big crowd, but instead a very organized system where all the shoppers looking to buy from the collection were assigned to several color coordinated groups with different time slots.
The collection was made for movement and performance. A cool fashionable incentive to get you back to your workout routine if you have fallen off from it like myself due to a hectic schedule or just pure laziness. There’s a bigger chance I’ll just wear these out to dance all night somewhere in Brooklyn, a very popular form of exercise and one that Alexander Wang himself would approve of. Am I right?!
We decided to head back to one of my favorite locations, Brooklyn Bridge Park for the setting of this shoot. With an amazing view of lower Manhattan, there’s no way not to want to hang out here and be motivated to workout for a bit. Pier 2 is a great place to pursue your favorite sport activity. There are five acres of super slick basketball, handball, bocce and shuffleboards courts. And a massive play turf perfect for sun salutations or football practice.
Now go out there and get active!
