Thank you to Donald J Pliner for sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
I couldn’t think of a better way of saying au revoir to summer 2017 than with one more stroll around Katharina Grosse’s “Colors of the Rockaway”. A public art installation presented by MoMA PS1 on the Fort Tilden Historic District; a former U.S. Army installation in the coastal area of Queens, NY. I took my last summer stroll wearing my FAIRY sandals, one of my favorite styles from the Donald J Pliner’s # ArtOfFun spring/summer 2017 collection.
If you haven’t been keeping up with the seasons’ changes, September 21st marked the official end of summer 2017 throughout the Northern Hemisphere of the World. The Fall Equinox is in session, and with that is the transition in our wardrobe from lightweight fabrications, and open toe shoes, to layered cozy garments and weatherproof footwear.
My fashion palette will shift from bright and colorful colors to the dark and moody color family. Hey, like Lorde sang in her ‘Writer in the Dark’ song “I let the seasons change my mind.” Before my mind changes to the dark and moody aesthetic, I showed off my summer’s Art of Fun by paying ode to the coveted Pink color the fashion crowd loves so much. I paired my FAIRY sandals with my midi pleated skirt and cropped sweater, in anticipation of that “sweater weather”.
