The Peninsula New York is honoring and supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with PINK LOTUS, a multifaceted large-scale light installation created by interdisciplinary Peruvian artist, Grimanesa Amorós. PINK LOTUS is one of the several pink themed artworks dedicated to bringing awareness to breast cancer via The Art of Pink, an annual event hosted by The Peninsula Hotels in Asia, North America and Europe. Exclusively curated by Circa 1881, PINK LOTUS sits atop The Peninsula New York’s landmark artistic façade and next to the Roman Goddesses sculptures.
The installation is composed of LED lights and shaped to resemble a pink lotus flower. The lotus serves as a symbolic representation of creation, rebirth, and enlightenment.
